Utility Warehouse is the UK’s only genuine provider of multiple home services, including energy (electricity and gas), broadband, home and mobile telephone, and home insurance options, as well as a cashback card. Whether customers sign up for one, some, or all of Utility Warehouse’s services, they will receive just one monthly bill, relieving some of the hassle associated with coordinating multiple bills and utilities companies.

Making a switch from one provider to another, particularly for multiple services, can be intimidating, so we’ve answered some of the most frequently asked questions to help you determine if Utility Warehouse is the right provider for you.

Is UW any good?

While this may be a subjective question to answer, looking at UW’s awards and recognition may shed some light on the issue. UW has received recognition from consumer champions such as Which?, Uswitch, and Defaqto, and even took home the Which? Utilities Brand of the Year Award in 2020. This wasn’t the first time, either – the company took home the big prize for the first time in 2018.

Do I have to sign up for all services?

While UW does offer incentives and perks for customers who sign up for multiple services – or bundle their services – there is no obligation to sign up for all of UW’s services.

Is UW the cheapest?

How much you save with UW is determined by the plan you choose – for example, customers who sign up for all of UW’s services can expect savings of up to £185 a year. That said, UW provides competitive pricing for its services, with energy always cheaper than Ofgem’s “fair price” and a market-leading unlimited mobile tariff. Plus, customers who use the cashback card can earn up to 7% cash back when they spend at participating retailers.

What is a Utility Warehouse Partner?

Utility Warehouse forgoes more traditional marketing tactics for word-of-mouth advertising through its Partner network. A UW Partner is an independent distributor for UW, and helps sign on new customers. Partners can earn up to £340 for each new customer signed on, and, as independent distributors, can set their own hours or work schedule to make sure it fits their lifestyle. To date, there are over 45,000 Partners working with UW.

Who started UW?

UW was founded by Telecom Plus PLC, and spearheaded by Charles Wigoder.

Where can I learn more about Utility Warehouse?

If you want to learn more about UW from UW, check our their website, social media profiles, or YouTube channel. If you want some other perspectives, read the Which? review to get a comprehensive overview of the company, or check out their reviews on Trustpilot to learn more from current customers.
