Pavement is the term generally used to describe paving a way to a certain destination or goal place. In construction or architecture, the term is used to describe a similar scenario i.e., a floor or way in the outdoor of a building or inside a park that is paved by covering some tough and hard materials like tiles or asphalt or stones, or by concrete. This material by which the flooring of pavement is made is known as pavers. The most common pavement is driveway pavement. Paved driveways are mostly present in front of big buildings, apartments, and important offices. It is necessary for the luxury of people to park their cars and vehicles to their destination without bothering the grassy area or the garden.
The pavement of the driveway is an important part of the construction process and in many countries, like the UK driveway paving is done by paving companies. Paving contractors take up the construction work on a contractual basis and do it. London paving contractors are very popular in providing various types of driveway pavements. The pavement of the driveway can be divided based on the material used in paving the driveway.
The Most Common Types Are:
· Concrete Driveways
In this type of driveway paving is done by pouring concrete on the way. This type of driveway paving is very durable and lasts for ages. It is also not very high maintenance. The concrete can be poured into any shape or pattern which will expand and take the desired pattern or sections.
· Asphalt Driveways
Asphalt is some black material that is mostly formed due to remaining petroleum or matter deposits on earth. Asphalt mixed with crushed stones sand and gravel is a very common material used in architecture. London paving contractor suggests this type of driveway paving for an affordable price and durability of at least 30- 35 years.
· Stamped Driveways
Stamped concrete is different from poured concrete. Stamped concrete gives an illusion of the desired pattern as it will be seen, for example, it might look like the paving is done by bricks or woods or slate. The concrete is stamped to the desired pattern. Stamped driveways usually cost more than poured concrete because of its aesthetical advantage.
· Interlocking Driveway Pavement
Interlocking pavement is made up of some interlocking block pavers. This is predesigned and made up of either Cement or concrete. These are made in the form of plates, the plates are designed and cut in a way that they can interlock with each other and form the whole pavement. That is why it’s needed to be predesigned and cut. The interlock pavement is usually laid upon a very firm and hard surface because the interlock system is not a very strong base and cracks and dislocation of plates may occur over years otherwise. The durability is average but the stain might occur easily and renovation is required
· Exposed Pavement Driveway Pavement
Exposed pavement is a very attractive-looking pavement. It is made up by scattering colorful pebbles or stones or other concrete materials.
